If you have no web site at present we can help you with the complete process from registering a name, designing and building a site, through to hosting it and keeping it up to date. If you already have a web site but wish to update it we can help you with a re-design, re-styling, or adding online availability features. We work from the text and pictures you have prepared and can make constructive suggestions based upon our experience.
Copy writing
Often the hardest part of creating a new web site is knowing what to say. Don't worry, we can help - from brainstorming with you what key messages you want to send to your customers, to writing important passages or the whole site. We always carefully proof-read every page for grammatical and typing errors.
Search engine optimisation, SEO
During its construction we optimise your site to be found by search engines. Once your site is finished and online we submit it to the top five search engines so that potential customers can find you.
We run complete search engine optimisation and internet marketing campaigns for clients in order to keep their web sites at the top of Google and the other major search engines for their chosen key search phrases.
Digital photography
We offer a digital photography service to all of our clients. We can arrange for a photographer to come out to you to take any digital images that may be required for your web site.
We also have a preferred supplier arrangement with a local firm of professional photographers if that extra quality is required. The strength of their service is based on many years of experience in commercial photography. This, with a thorough understanding of lighting techniques, combines to give a totally professional service from start to finish - essential when creating quality images for the internet.
Domain name registration
If you do not yet have your own domain name, we can advise you on its choice, check availability and register it for you. A .co.uk domain name costs £50 for the first two years and £25/year thereafter. A .com name costs £100 for the first two years and £50/year thereafter.
Web site & email hosting
We have the infrastructure to host your web site and email service. This is particularly valuable if you decide to use database driven elements in your web site.
Site maintenance & updating
For smaller web sites Adobe Contribute is a good web page editor that allows you to update the site yourself. For larger sites we can set up a content management system. If you do not have either the equipment or the inclination to keep your site up to date we can do it for you for a monthly maintenance fee, or on an ad-hoc basis.
Email newsletters
If you want to send a regular email newsletter to your customers we can help you plan, design and implement the campaign. We can do anything from just designing the first newsletter to running the complete system to your timetable on our email database. This includes keeping your list of customer email addresses up-to-date and dealing with all opt-out requests.
Database systems
We have over fifteen years’ experience of designing and developing database systems for the PC and Mac using 4th Dimension, a powerful and flexible relational database. A number of these databases have been specifically designed to handle the administrative tasks of running holiday cottages.
Web/database integration
A number of our databases provide online and offline links to web sites in order to make the task of maintaining those sites simpler, quicker and in some cases, delivered in real time.
